Mount Rushmore of Euroclassics:

Vance, Tillieux, Jijé, and Graton

William Vance (in English translation now)
Maurice Tillieux (in English translation soon)
Jijé (no English translation)
Graton (three albums in English only)

These four masters are all in the pantheon and form the core of the so-called Euroclassics, which all sprung from Hergé.

The most important thing that could happen in comics right now would be to get these four masters published in English, complete works, Intégrales. That would be the complete fulfillment of a lifelong dream for many of us, I am sure. NBM won't touch them, but we have faith in Cinebook and Fantagraphics.

Jag har annars börjat försöka lära mig franska nu. Översättning känns inte som mycket att hoppas på.

Ethno-postmodernism in an Albert Speer pattern dominates.

ja, det er jeg også, og nu begynder jeg at samle på franske albums, der bliver oversat for lidt til dansk, og endnu mindre til norsk of svensk.
